1/ FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVER

We are seeking a professional and friendly Restaurant Server to deliver excellent customer service to our guests and ensure their satisfaction throughout their dining experience.

 

What you will be doing: 
•    Greet and assist guests with enthusiasm, provide professional, friendly, engaging service
•    Present menus, provide information about specials, answer guests' questions about menu items
•    Take accurate food and beverage orders, relay them to kitchen and bar colleagues using computerized systems
•    Check guest satisfaction, report any problems, take appropriate action to correct them
•    Maintain a safe, clean, tidy, organized, well-stocked work area, including assigned tables
•    Ensure tables are properly set, cleared, and reset throughout shift
•    Maintain a professional appearance and relationships with colleagues
•    Follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards
•    Perform other duties as assigned

 

Your experience and skills include:
•    Minimum 2 years' experience in a high volume restaurant or 1 year in a 4 Diamond Resort Food & Beverage operation
•    Previous MICROS or similar point of sale system experience an asset
•    Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
•    Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
•    Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
 

2/ CHEF DE PARTIE
Boundary Sports Bar & Grille is currently seeking a Chef De Partie to join our dynamic team. As a Chef De Partie, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistency and quality of our food offerings to our valued guests.

 

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Sous Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 
•    Prepare all food items for a la carte and buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards
•    Communicate expectations and standards to kitchen colleagues
•    Continually strive to improve food preparation and presentation
•    Maintain proper rotation of product to minimize wastage/spoilage
•    Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions
•    Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
•    Follow kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards
•    Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
•    Train and develop kitchen employees
•    Assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Senior Chef de Partie/Sous Chef
•    Deliver Leading Quality Assurance Standards for your position
•    Other duties as assigned

 

Your experience and skills include:
•    At least three years of general culinary experience in a luxury hotel environment is required
•    Documented culinary certification (Red Seal certificate, Journeyman's papers, or international equivalent) is strongly preferred
•    Demonstrated creative culinary skills are required
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written, fluent in English) are required
•    Proven ability to work efficiently in a demanding and fast-paced environment
•    Proven ability to work cohesively as part of a team in a multi-cultural, diverse environment
•    Computer literate in MS Office applications is an asset
•    Strong work ethic, highly responsible, reliable and the ability to work shifts, extended hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays is required
