Job Opportunities

1/ CAPTAIN
The Captain reports to the Maitre'd and is responsible for overseeing the service of food and beverages to guests in a luxury hotel restaurant environment. Duties include greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring that guests have a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food and beverage service, as well as experience in managing a team.

What you will be doing:
>Assist management to supervise team members under his/her leadership/section and to ensure that all tasks assigned/required in the outlet are carried out on time and according to instruction and departmental standards
>Coordinate and assist in opening/closing duties and ensure that all settings are completed according to standards and procedures prior to the start of operation
>Provide outstanding and enthusiastic service to guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience, attending to their needs, and exceeding their expectations
>Present menus, provide information about specials, answer guests' questions about menu items
>Take accurate food and beverage orders, relay them to kitchen and bar colleagues using computerized systems
>Check guest satisfaction, report any problems, take appropriate action to correct them
>Maintain a safe, clean, tidy, organized, well-stocked work area, including assigned tables
>Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
>Ensure tables are properly set, cleared, and reset throughout shift
>Maintain a professional appearance and relationship with colleagues
>Anticipate guests needs, respond to them promptly and acknowledge guest, however busy and whatever time of the day.
>Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
>Assist with the training and development of Food & Beverage Servers 
>Other duties as assigned
>Collect food and beverage supply requisition, ensure that the stock collected is as per requisition
>Supervise and assist in assigned work station’s activities and oversee the operation of outlet in the absence of management
>Assist other Food & Beverage outlets with their operations during peak times or when required
>Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
>Other duties as assigned

 

Your experience and skills include:
>2+ years of experience in the restaurant industry
>Strong understanding of food and beverage service
>Experience in managing and training a team
>Proficient in the use of restaurant POS systems
>Excellent customer service skills
>Attention to detail and accuracy
>Ability to work independently and as part of a team
